Authentic Materials, Meteorites & Artwork
Authenticity and provenance are important to Rock Paper Sky. Gemstones, minerals, fossils, lapidary rough, and other natural materials are sourced from established dealers, miners, collectors, and suppliers whenever possible. Many pieces include available information about their origin, locality, collection history, or other noteworthy characteristics, and that information is passed along when known.
Rock Paper Sky offers select rough material, slabs, preforms, and finished cabochons. Many cabochons are individually cut, shaped, and polished in my studio for use in jewelry or as collectible stones. Finished stones may be incorporated into original Rock Paper Sky designs using sterling silver, copper, mixed metals, wirework, or fabricated settings.
Meteorites
Meteorites offered or used in Rock Paper Sky artwork are obtained from reputable meteorite dealers and collectors or personally recovered during my own meteorite-hunting expeditions. When available, classification, find or fall information, locality, and provenance are provided with the piece.
Meteorite material may be offered as specimens or incorporated into jewelry, mixed-media work, and other original artwork.
